I was over at Matchbook Mag and they turned me on to these fabulous doormats that Garnet Hill has come out with. They greet your guests with a touch of whimsy. I absolutely love them! Now if only I had a front porch....

Foo Dogs

The term Foo Dog is slang for Chinese guardian lion. These statues can be found all over china and were originally believed to have powerful mythic protective benefits. But to me they are just another fabulous accessory! Pairs of Foo Dogs are super trendy and have been for quite some time. I don't care if they are super cliche...I still love them. They come in so many different colors and qualities it's easy to find a foo dog to fit any aesthetic. I haven't found the perfect pair just yet but I have my eye on a beautiful set my Dad has flanking his fireplace (although he doesn't know this yet!). Are you over it or do you still have a soft spot for these guys??

Rope 'Em

I'm not a huge Nautical fan but for some reason I've been drawn to anything rope these days. It's not just being used for those decorative knot thingys that I can't stand!

Bookshelf Love

Whether or not we want to admit it, it's the little things that make the biggest difference. This definitely holds true in the design world. I hate to see a room with beautiful furniture and style but the bookshelves look totally thrown together. Why not take the extra effort to create mini vignettes within each shelf? I'm a sucker for knickknacks and this is the perfect time to put them on display and make them worthwhile. I just re-organized our bookcases and my Fiance immediately noticed the difference when he walked in (I was shocked!).

Mexican Coverlets

I know they've been around forever but I am currently lusting over these beautiful Mexican coverlets.  Sometimes called tenangos, Mexican suzanis & Otomoi fabrics.....they are absolutely fabulous! Hand embroidered by the otomi Indians from Hidalgo, Mexico these beauties come in an array of gorgeous colors and I WANT ONE.  I found them at these online stores: The Loaded Trunk, Table Tonic, L'aviva Home and Jacaranda (but they seem to be everywhere!).
