Scallops

So here I am wasting more time on Pinterest looking for a scallop recipe to make for tonight's dinner and of course I come across some amazing scallop details in the design world. I eventually settled on a recipe but couldn't help but fall in love with all things scallop (food and otherwise).  The look is super charming and unmistakably feminine. Sometimes you just need a dose of something that is totally cute, sweet and darling in your life....

Foo Dogs

The term Foo Dog is slang for Chinese guardian lion. These statues can be found all over china and were originally believed to have powerful mythic protective benefits. But to me they are just another fabulous accessory! Pairs of Foo Dogs are super trendy and have been for quite some time. I don't care if they are super cliche...I still love them. They come in so many different colors and qualities it's easy to find a foo dog to fit any aesthetic. I haven't found the perfect pair just yet but I have my eye on a beautiful set my Dad has flanking his fireplace (although he doesn't know this yet!). Are you over it or do you still have a soft spot for these guys??

Domino Mag Returns With Quick Fixes!

I received an amazing news blast from Los Angeles Times Home & Garden this morning! My long lost love Domino magazine is making a come back!! They announced yesterday that they are coming out with a special "Quick Fixes" edition, available on newsstands April 17th. The magazine will combine new and previously published content full of their best decorating stories and easy DIY projects. There is also word of a second issue due in the Fall. If it's anything like it's old self I hope it's here to stay! 

Vendor Spotlight: Circa Lighting

Most people that work in the design world have heard about Circa Lighting. But for those of you who haven't....let me introduce you. It is a great online store that sells on trend pieces from different designers. The fixtures aren't particularly reasonable to your everyday homeowner but when compared to the prices we find at the Design Center they're a steal! I always suggest shopping here when we are in search of a timeless piece on the fly.  We get our fixtures quick (none of that 8wk lead time crap) and it's super easy. Now you know.
